First she submits this poncho:
And once again, the look says it all. Myself, I am not a fan of the poncho as a fashion item to begin with. Maybe because it so often comes out this way.
She also sent in some pictures of a hat and a flowered scarf, but they weren't bad at all. I saw nothing at all wrong with the hat, and the scarf was on her blog. It's kind of obnoxious, but in a cute way.
So, Carrie, you win! Let us know what patterns these were so we can all avoid them.

my current dilemna consists of trying to dodge a loved one who actually WANTS me to knit her a poncho. i do not think i can.
Oh how I love Fugly Friday! :)
The poncho...always a bad choice...
One day, shortly after I'd started working at the shop, I was moving around some shop samples and was petting the Martha Stewart poncho that someone had crocheted out of this very soft alpaca something or other. And I commented on what a shame it was that this thing was, in fact, a poncho, because ponchos on me always seemed to be a terrible idea. And Nancy says, oh, no, that thing looks good on everyone, really, try it on. So I did...and she just sort of stood there, and looked at me...and said "Oh...." And then, like a full minute and a half later says, "I think you just got a foot shorter. Wow."
I tried to warn her...
I really do think ponchos should be outlawed.
Ohhh, the poncho. How did this ever come back in style? Didn't we learn the first time?
