Sports socks

Despite both disappointing me this year, I have made Bears socks and Cubs socks. Sorry the pictures are a little blurry. Something seems to have gone wrong with my digital camera and I had to take them with my BlackBerry.
I really have nothing to say about these teams than, there's always next year.
Bears socks:

Cubs socks:

Although the Cubs socks did double as patriotic socks on inauguration day.

In summary:
Pattern: Both basic top down, 2x2 rib cuff, plain body, s1 k1 heel flap, basic toe
Yarn: knittinglikecrazy's Crazy Soft Sock yarn in Super Bowl Shuffle and Go, Cubs, Go! respectively, superwash wool (and some nylon?)
Needles: Size US 1 dpn
Time: Traveling purse projects, probably several weeks each set
Cost: Around $20 each pair, with some yarn left over. Since I have several skeins of each colorway, this may come in handy.

And, yes there is nylon: 25%.

SHE'S ALIVE! SHE'S ALIVE! I like the cubs socks (though I am loosely a Braves fan). The blue is very vivid!

Ah! Ha!

Bears socks----have you seen mine? Should be on ravelry via Lorna

Cubs NO NO NO hehehe

WHITE SOX YEAH YEAH! But your socks look good and may use your pattern to do my Sox socks. Be quick and easy with no pattern for me to "get confused, drop stitches, loose track" then be ready for season opener.

More reading with my coffee
